Projects

THE CLUB/Job Club

THE CLUB runs on Tuesdays 6-8pm and Wednesdays 4.30-6.30pm for 11-18 year olds. This youth club is organised with the help of Pear Tree Baptist Church, local volunteers, and the Multi-Faith Centre. There are a range of different activities each week, with plenty of opportunity to meet new people. From THE CLUB, dance and football sessions have been developed to support the young people.

Both clubs are based at Pear Tree Baptist Church, DE23 6QD.

Junior Club

Although the Junior Club is currently not running, RCC had been and is hoping to continue to provide children aged 8-12 the opportunity to engage within education positively. Working in partnership with the St. James Centre we provided education in a fun informal way, raised aspirations, developed connections and active citizenship. Over the past 2 years the Junior Club has engaged over 40 young people.

Client support sessions

These sessions are now appointment only. To book an appointment either, drop in, call us on 01332 289818 or email info@romacommunitycare.org. Appointment sessions run Monday - Thursday 9am -1pm. A friendly team of advocates await anyone in need of support.

Outreach

RCC go door to door to find out the communities thoughts and develop their services around their needs. RCC staff and volunteers are always happy to listen to the community and support people to amplify their voice and make the changes they wish to see.

Community Events

RCC not only hosts their own community events such as Family Fun Days but also join in with events being held by other service providers. Last summer saw a host of Family Fun Days in and around Derby that communities could come together to enjoy.
